ATVMediaServer allows you to watch videos from your computer in your favorite formats (e.g. 720p h264 MKV) on your Apple TV; simply via the network. No copying, no converting, no hassle. Currently the supported container formats are AVI and MKV.

The download bundle contains ATVMediaServer for Mac OS X (10.6) and the Apple TV client application ATVMediaClient.While the software can be downloaded and installed without obtaining a license, the full feature set is only available after purchasing a license and registering your Apple TV.

Enjoy watching your favourite content in your favourite format on the Apple TV. This software does not overcome the limitations of the (classic) Apple TV and it's inability to play high definition content properly. Please note that with our solution, the Apple TV is capable of playing back 720p/h264 video content with DTS audio but frame drops may occur. This is not caused by the player, the client nor the server; this is caused by the Apple TV hardware.
